Jim Rickards joins Daniela Cambone at the Rule Symposium in Boca Raton to dismantle the mainstream narrative on tariffs, trade, and the dollar’s decline. In his most candid interview yet, Rickards reveals why Trump’s tariff strategy isn’t chaos — it’s a calculated economic war plan. With historical precedent on his side, he argues that tariffs aren’t inflationary — they’re a catalyst for domestic manufacturing, job growth, and a stronger U.S. economy.
Rickards explains how today’s dollar decline is no accident, but a Treasury-engineered repeat of the Nixon and Plaza Accords playbook — all part of the “Mar-a-Lago Accord” now quietly reshaping the global monetary order. He predicts $4,000 gold by year-end, with $10,000+ on the horizon, as America’s financial reset unfolds.
Don’t miss this explosive conversation that challenges everything you’ve been told about globalization, deficits, and the future of money.

Awesome interview — Jim’s great! But tariffs won’t raise prices; and people will not buy if prices are high???? off on that one. They’re getting $10.99 for eggs and people still buy them! Cars selling over MSRP — people still pay! It’s not the 1970s, brother 😂
Tariffs dont work when it falls on the citizens its just another away of the government making its people poorer and dependant on them
Is this guy on trumps payroll ?…
I think something that is missed in current tarrif conversations a lot is that tariffs were not equative. Trump inacting reciprocal tariffs was not a 'trade war' as some media sources imply – it was a mode of seeking equative trade. Those other countries were either not importing our goods at all or minimally, where only the richest could afford them. By making things reciprocal it forced many countries to lower their tariff which will allow for more domestic production, bringing jobs/tax/trade revenue. That ramping up of production should also drive down the cost of domestic goods for consumers, which becomes a cycle of production/supply/consumption. This is because domestically we must now compete/supply internally as well as externally, even if just moderately. For those foreign markets to compete with less expensive American goods they will have to lower their prices. This is more of a price/supply/demand/consumer war than it is a trade war.
If that country turns around and raises their tariffs then that is an antagonistic move and essentially the 'war' – not the seeking of reciprocity. However, them raising their tariffs is less impactful because we were already not selling into their domestic production they are selling into ours. These countries can no longer flood our market with cheap, poorly regulated goods. Initially this may drive some price increases until materials and goods can stabalize but in the long run it should be a boon for our economy.
IF these countries want to do business with the greatest country on Earth the should have to pay a premium to enter our market not the other way around.

I'm no college graduate, and certainly no economics expert. this is not only the way revenue was collected prior to the Commie Federal Income tax, bit it's the way the rest of the world was allowed to screw us. By the Antoi American bleeding heart I just want to be loved idiots who have been running this country for several decades
Trumps reciporcal plan is excellent. I run my business the same way. I tell vendors I'll charge you what you charge me, and if you don't do the same I'll find someone else to deal with
Big Shout Out to the Cutter Revenue Service ( United States Coast Guard ) the original External Tax Service, we need more External Tax Service policies to decrease the IRS influence and power.
What a great conversation Daniela! And Jim Rickards is a guru of this domain! Thanks.
rickards now says rates go higher decide yourself men. You change of mind so many times already
Hey Jim: Cool Shades!
Just prove where tariffs cause inflation. Prove it.
No one believes this right? Its a joke this guy is teaching people how to invest right? Never heard so much 💩
Finally, Jim lost his wisdom and paddling BS..
Mr. Rickards, w/ all due respect, you certainly cant agree that Hegseth is qualified for a most important role to all of our safety and security. You retort sir, please.
Buongiorno Dani! Great interview! Jim really laid out the truth about tariffs and their impact. Very helpful information – thanks!
Money doesn't grow on trees, if government get a cut from trade, cost went up, it must paid by the buyer eventually no matter who is unless you don't buy, it doesn't matter how many importer/exporter/middleman etc. Simple thing.
Fortunately, unlike most economic theory the result will be seen rather quickly and will be obvious.
In 6 months to a year if supply stays constant and prices have not appreciated by 15% or more then tariffs work.
I love Daniela! ❤️
Free trade requires fair trade. That has been where the globalists have scammed the US. Central banks are the mechanism of that scam and need to be dissolved. Tariffs are actually a very good way to wrest the world away from the globalists central bank scamming system.
Rickards is wrong 90% of the time.
Daniela you have twins? Gotta say at risk sounding out of line your rocking that dress those legs hold their own Tina Turner in her day.
Rickards is a Trump boot licker.
He would have said the opposite if the President was a Democrat.
Has Jim realized yet that California wine was ubiquitous across Canada (with the exception of Quebec)
Only in the US could someone get away with criticizing the world 's most advanced economy currently at full employment. Jimbo really wants to make sneakers in Plymouth?
What about if there is no where else to buy it ! 😂. This guy is an idiot … we didn’t have civil services. Everytime this has been used (tarrifs) it’s been recessionary, EVERY TIME 😂
3:53 Then the importer is not going to buy as many either (and possibly cut personnel), GENIUS.
Totally agree regarding the tariff OUTRIGHT LIE! Former teacher at local University, when I taught on day one I’d walk to the podium & throw the text in the trash! Then I’d say a text will provide some guide of knowledge but keep in mind there are NO WIDGETS out in the real world. Also most texts too may pages – cut to the chase! I taught accounting taxes & business related courses part time so I brought real world into the classroom. There have been numerous blatant lies I’ve seen taught. At some point I came to the conclusion that tariffs are a good thing, if done in parity between countries as well unrealistic barriers – “standards” placed on our exports.
100% about the phony notions of free trade. Trade has been free for everybody else except for America for over a hundred years now
