500 Folk Dancers, One Night, Yerevan’s Cascade — Gutan Festival 2026 [4K]

Last night I went to the Gutan Festival — Armenia’s annual National Traditional Song and Dance Festival — at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts’ Sculpture Garden (Cascade) in Yerevan.

This year’s edition was dedicated to the 60th birthday of Gagik Ginosyan, a celebrated Armenian dance artist. 26 folk ensembles and more than 500 performers took the stage, including the festival’s signature opening ceremony where every group performs together — hundreds of dancers in traditional costume turning the stage into a living Armenian carpet.

This is a highlights cut of the night — the full concert ran much longer, so I picked the best moments to bring you the energy of it.
