Good king he even sorta of supported Manuel 2nd from ottoman siege in 1402 ad even Manuel 2nd emperor of Byzantine had visited England
Fascinating to see how Henry IV's reign shaped the Lancastrian legacy. His struggle for legitimacy really stands out.
Epiphany Rising was going scorched earth. Heads must roll. Henry 4th slayed around 30 men at Shrewsbury. Unheard of
These are so much better than anything I have seen on the History Channel or anywhere else since I was a kid.. before reality TV and rewrites of history.
34:24 Kingdome come deliverence to reference made me cream
Interesting man Henry the 4th father of Henry the 5th
It’s funny, The Lancastrian’s ignored the Superior line of Clarence because it runs through a female while fighting to obtain the French Crown, claiming female lineage over a male direct line and a legal one at that.
He was born on the 3rd April…
Henry IV is my 12th great grandfather on my mother’s side
Interesting and informative.
A man of his times
7:23 blanche Lady Wake Lancaster died before.Henry was born😮
A great king.. so underrated
I can't wait until you move onto Polish kings
One of my great great grannies took care of Henry when he was little. Lady's name was Kathryn Swynford. John and 3 of his brothers are great great grampas and the Black Prince is a many times removed great grand uncle.

The more I learn about Henry IV the more I like and respect him both as a man and as a king. In similar fashion I favour Richard III and wonder how much better things would have been if we hadn't suffered the Tudors.
Maybe he had leprosy because he did visit Jerusalem.
Considering all the revolts he felt with did his best and he had a good heart but was a victim of the others around him.
He sounds like a great man, if I were him I would have gone crazy
First native English speaking king since 1066.
Fiscally disastrous but a brave and noble man
