On the last Friday of every month, hundreds of people gather at the Yerevan Cascade to dance. No stage, no audience, just Armenians of every age dancing traditional circle dances together, and teaching anyone who wants to learn. This is “Our Dances and Us,” a free open-air gathering that has kept Armenian folk dance a living, everyday tradition. Filmed in 4K on July 31, 2026, with no commentary, just the music, the steps, and the crowd.

🤦 This is not Armenian folk music. These are Middle Eastern culture Assyrian Kurdish folk dances. Even Komitas wrote that Armenian culture is changed from music to traditional dress. You just used from ancient times it doesn't mean it's ours. Zurna dohol is Middle Eastern origin instrument. Majority of instruments used in Armenia it has Arabic Persian origin like qamancheh oud santur kanun. These instruments are registered in
CULTURAL INSTITUTE OF THE REP. ISL. OF THE IRAN IN ROME
