I dunno man. You want to scratch the surface on a bunch of convoluted topics that have a million moving pieces. I am lost. The hysteria is palpable.
I believe there is a major flaw in the logic: „If anybody can do anything, then anybody will do anything.
This is not the case for the average „anybody“ with all major levers in life I can think of. Just because you can elevate your quality of life and efficiency through the use of digital media, learning how to code, pursuing education, living a healthy life, etc. doesn’t imply anybody will do it.
Many will and they might be able to carry the rest of society with their productivity but considering how sticky habits and how prevalent negative choices are in regards to efficiency, I do not believe this logic is correct.
Most people are struggling in this economy.
When society collapses what’s the one thing that can truely help you? It surrounds us, provides everything needed since humans existed. Money? Houses? Tools? Knowledge?
Lower quality, toxic food, more pharmaceuticals drugs, less housing, low eduction minimum. All for wealth creation. Funny resets happen but USA print more devalued the dollar, more money given to pointless goverment departments. And yes it keeps getting worse, so print money, more handouts, new housing scams making everything worse

I think it’s hilarious (and incredibly short-sighted) to think these huge amounts of robots and autonomous vehicles will just come in a displace 60% of workforce and there won’t be a revolt. The machines/cars will be in plain sight, not always stored in a company factory or warehouse. These robots will be on the streets/roads in public. You don’t think if 50 millions humans are displaced, they won’t destroy the robots delivering packages, driving cars/trucks, livery drivers, etc. There’s no guilt that comes from harming another human. It’s robots. Just look how people treated the scooters like Bird/Lime when they invaded our cities. Those didn’t even destroy jobs. There is a mass revolt in the works that nobody is talking about but will happen. Prepare for many scattered bots and autonomous vehicles. I can assure you that. Given the ROI on public-facing robotics, this will be one of the largest flops/bubbles in history.

They said the same thing with technological leaps before us. The impact AI will have on us is greatly exaggerated, and nobody truly knows what this will enable us to do.
One thing for sure AI will not dig ditches. It will not wire homes. it will not roof houses.

If robots become as efficient and effective as humans then there will be no need for manual labour. The rich will not mind losing these unproductive people. The less the better will become fashionable. The human organism will start to reduce in numbers, there will be abundance of everything, everything will be free and plentiful because robots will be doing all the hard work.

Once robots take all the jobs, I hate to say this, but the government is gonna have to introduce some sort of universal basic income. Productivity is going to skyrocket goods are going to be dirt cheap. With that said the mass majority of people will have no money unless UBI is put into place.
