Join me for a Saturday daytime walk through the heart of Yerevan, Armenia — exploring the city’s most famous cafe and restaurant streets: Northern Avenue, Abovyan Street, Pushkin Street, Tumanyan Street, Yeznik Koghbatsi Street, and Republic Square.
We start on Yeznik Koghbatsi Street at FEIN by Coffee House — Yerevan’s most talked-about specialty coffee roastery — and Kamancha Restaurant, then walk down Northern Avenue (Hyusisayin Poghota), Yerevan’s premier pedestrian boulevard lined with outdoor cafe terraces, luxury shops, and street musicians. From Republic Square we continue through Arami Street and into the legendary cafe district around Pushkin Street — passing Collective, Como, Sirelis, CJ, and Minas cafes — before finishing on Tumanyan Street, Abovyan Street, and at the beautiful Holy Mother of God Katoghike Church, one of the oldest surviving churches in Yerevan.
Pushkin and Tumanyan streets are part of what locals call Yerevan’s “Beverage District” — the densest concentration of restaurants, coffee shops, wine bars, and terraces in the city.
