EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH ARMENIA’S FIRST DAUGHTER — Mariam Pashinyan.
Mariam is the eldest daughter of Armenia’s new Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Nikol Pashinyan successfully led a peaceful revolution in a corrupt, post soviet country. He woke an entire nation and its diaspora.
Nowadays there’s immense interest for Armenia from Armenians and non-Armenians around the world. Whatever is happening in Armenia, we want to know!
And what a lot of young Armenians want to know is, who is Mariam Pashinyan?
Mariam is 20-years-old and a recent college graduate. She was studying abroad during the Velvet Revolution and returned back to a New Armenia. She’s now learning how to cope with her new family dynamic and settling into her role as First Daughter.
This is Mariam’s first interview and I’m forever grateful that she chose me and The Armenian Report platform.

Solid show. Thanks. I just saw this, three months after the fact, following Anna's appearance on Maria's show in late March. I don't do Instagram, so I checked YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook for THE ARMENIAN REPORT. I can't quite figure out when new shows come out. Please advise.
statistically if we stick to gender roles, then gender equality can't be achieved. If you tell a man that housework and caring is a woman's responsibility while a man is a head of the family and main breadwinner, then talking about equal rights makes no sense and physical as well as emotional abuse will continue. You asked whether Armenian men respect women, first of all how can we generalize, second it's better to discuss how is it traditionally within Armenian society. And it should be clear what you call respect. If a man is a "gentleman", not allowing swearing around her, paying for her dinner and clothes while making decision for her, decides what she should wear, where to go, how long to stay, where and what to work, what to say, when keep silence and much more etc. then this is a respect far from bringing equal rights in the Armenian society!
