I used to think Buffett was a good guy, but after learning of his investment in BYD, and who knows what other Chinese companies, turns out he's like the majority of billionaires except maybe Musk, full of greed, and not concerned if their investments are fucking their own countries.They're prepared to empower rogue regimes like China, squeezing every single dollar, instead of making a reasonable profit investing in their own countries and industry.
What I have realized since COVID is there are no real experts just educated guesses and lucky opportunities.
You can’t have it both ways. If you don’t want trade deficits you got to have tariffs or trade certificates or what ever you want to call them. The seals in clapping in the room evidently don’t have a clue.

About international trade. The USA has lost a lot of its industry to China and other countries. The reason is that those countries employed tariffs and other barriers to US exports. Contrary to the rules of the GATT (now WTO) . The USA has had continual trade deficits for many years. I don't know what these Buffett trade certificates are, but it could be worth studying. Effectively the USA has been finaincing economic growth in countries which are its potential enemies. That must stop. The tariffs that have been applied are calibrated so that its enemies are now paying the most in duties.
