I can't spare this man He fights
President Abraham Lincoln
Grant should be remembered for his care for all people. And a great leader
Grant was a wonderful person and I am proud of him ❤️
My Civil War Grandfather named his son Ulysses Grant Strickler 🤗
As an outsider my opinion probably doesn’t count for much but I’ve always been surprised to hear that Grant isn’t well liked. To me he sounds like a troubled but ultimately good man who had an interesting life with many high highs and low lows
This is 100x better then 'history' channel
The narration, music, and imagery were so calming. Perfect for learning before bed.
The narration hits the sweet spot—not too dramatic, not too flat. Very effective.
Your videos always manage to balance accuracy with deep emotion. That’s not easy—bravo!
Great video thanks
So many lessons from one life.
History remembers the names, but stories like this remind us of the people behind them.
I never knew this much about him until now. Truly inspiring!
It’s clear that Grant's legacy reevaluation deserves more attention and debate.
I think Grant's native american policy deserves more attention and debate
Honestly Grant's grant's memoir deserves more attention and debate.
I appreciate how the documentary doesn’t shy away from his flaws — especially the corruption during his presidency.”
The Visual effects in this documentary captured the essence. It made me rethink Grant's legacy.
Once slavery was ended, Lincoln's plan was to send all former slaves to either Haiti or Liberia…. Even Lincoln knew they weren't compatible with a White European culture.

Compare Grant to today's politicians. Read his writings, his thoughts. A different time. A worse time, but also in many ways a better time.
I think you went way too fast in this biography….Grant deserved a longer biography dealing with his life before and during the Civil War. He was far better general than Lee that is for sure….other than that, I do like your videos.
A socialist and a scur on our Constitutional rights.
Makes sense why Grant is on the 50 dollar bill
And those southern states have still not evolved
US Grant was a great American. I admire him greatly! He is an American institution and I cherish his contribution to our country! I am grateful for the beautiful tomb erected to him and his wife! I revered him for preserving the Union!
Totally agree with your assessment of Grant as both General and President. Primarily because of his role in keeping the ship of state stable in the very precarious period of reconstruction. Especially glad of his strong suppression of the murderous, bigoted nastiness of the KKK
Grant was a lucky, drunken butcher. Young human fodder was his strategy. Certainly, the Union Army saved the Union, and it was a blessing. But strategy and using brains instead of body piles could have won the war.
I have great regard for U.S. Grant, he a man I would cherish as a friend if I had lived in his time.
Just finished reading his personal memoirs. He would hate me saying it out loud because he was so humble but U.S. Grant is one of the greatest Americans ever.
17:21 Lincoln did not sign the emancipation proclamation in 1863. He signed it on September 22, 1862. It took effect January 1, 1863.
A very great man.
As a Turkish citizen I’m so obsessed with General Grant. Amazing General
I’d like to read more about him❤❤❤
