MOM & DAUGHTER WATCH TWILIGHT (2008) TOGETHER FOR THE FIRST TIME! The time has come! Lorie has been BEGGING to watch these films. Tessa (Mama’s Geeky) and Lorie finally dive into Twilight — and this watch was a BLAST. While I had seen the movie once a long time ago, this was Lorie’s very first time experiencing the start of the Twilight Saga, and I truly had no idea where she would land in the great Team Edward vs Team Jacob debate. At first? She was firmly Team Neither, especially because Edward is… let’s be honest… pretty rude to Bella right out of the gate. But it didn’t take long at all before she completely fell for everyone’s favorite sparkly vampire — and honestly, who can blame her? Watching Twilight again after all these years was such a nostalgic experience, and seeing it through Lorie’s fresh eyes made it even more fun. From Bella’s move to Forks, her awkward-but-relatable first days at school, and that instantly intriguing cafeteria moment with Edward, to the unforgettable baseball scene, the iconic prom ending, and the big reveal of Edward’s true nature — we were fully locked in. The mix of romance, danger, supernatural mystery, and early-2000s vibes makes this movie such a cultural phenomenon, and it was so fun to revisit. The cast is iconic, led by Kristen Stewart (Spencer, Charlie’s Angels) as Bella Swan, whose awkwardness and emotional vulnerability define the story, and Robert Pattinson (The Batman, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) as Edward Cullen, delivering a brooding, mysterious performance that launched a thousand fan debates. Taylor Lautner (The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl, Scream Queens) makes his first appearance as Jacob Black, already hinting at the rivalry to come. We also loved revisiting the Cullen family, with Ashley Greene (Bombshell) as Alice, Peter Facinelli (Nurse Jackie) as Carlisle, and Elizabeth Reaser (Grey’s Anatomy) as Esme, all adding to the unique charm of this supernatural family. This is just the beginning of our Twilight journey! We’ll be reacting to all five films over the next couple of weeks, and we cannot WAIT to see if Lorie stays Team Edward… or if Team Jacob eventually steals her heart.
