I heard that Hera, Ares, and a few other Olympian Gods tried to overthrow Zeus and failed. Zeus forced Hera to make a promise, never try to harm him again or she would be locked away forever. This is why when Zeus started his affairs, Hera didn’t go after Zeus rather she went after the Mistresses and their children. It was the only way Hera could hurt Zeus. What Hera did was very intelligent. Wrong, but Intelligent. She found a way to hurt the man who was hurting her without inflicting pain directly on him. She went after the things her cared about because he was doing the same thing. He was cheating on his wife with women and having children with them. Hera is the Goddess of Marriage, Women, Children, and Family. Zeus was embarassing her for the World to see.
