In Aegae, during his daughter’s wedding, Philip II displays power and walks alone into the theater—confident after omens from Delphi. Pausanias, a royal bodyguard nursing old grudges, stabs him before the Greek elite. Alexander runs in, supports his father, and—together with Hephaestion and Ptolemy—is acclaimed king on the spot. Rumors explode: personal vengeance, Olympias’s intrigues, even a Persian hand—nothing is proven. The inescapable fact: the unifier of Greece falls; the young heir rises, forged to fulfill the imperial project. From that spilled blood begins the march of the man the world will call Alexander the Great.

Behind Phillip's death is probably hidden his wife and mother of Alexander Olympias
🙏Please discuss the novel stories by J.R.R. Tolkien: The Silmarillion, The Hobbit, and The Lord of the Rings.
Course to the crown always goes through bloodshed and betrayal !! Such is the burden of power !!
Not letting Alex g succeed the throne 😂would b biggest mistake in Greek history 😂
On the TV show Smallville, the character Lionel Luthor saw himself as a modern-day Philip II of Macedon to such an extent that named his first-born son after Philip's own son, Alexander the Great. It actually seems appropriate that Superman’s archenemy Lex Luthor was named after Alexander the Great.
RIP🪦Philip of Macedon
A wonder of a story of drama and tale
Philip's death was a canon event.
Dayum. Doing his mom dirty with that portrayal. 😆
Philip was assassinated in October 336 BC. If the Persians were behind the assassination, they made a big mistake because now for the new king the campaign in Asia was also personal.
