This was the first Seventh Doctor episode I ever saw, and it shows my theory that the Seventh Doctor is the only Classic Doctor who could've been a modern Doctor. If he had been in New Who, he would've fitted.
This story was excellent because it tied past story plots together under one theme. We would see a lot of this later in the 'modern' Who era, but this was one of the very first times.
My all-time fave Doctor Who story! ❤❤
Didnt like the writing on these three
Fun fact, this is actually my favorite Doctor Who story of all time, like no contest. When I saw this was uploaded I literally had to tell all of my friends out of excitement
😊😊😊😊😊❤
Language may offend? GOOD! Be offended and grow up!
imagine, i f you would, if elsa lanchester was the doctor.

I am having a slight problem adjusting to this Doctor; I keep wondering why they did not just go ahead and cast Rowan Atkinson, instead of a knock-off…It's not that he is doing a bad job, it is just the resemblance is getting in the way. Oh well, I will acclimate; a few sessions with the good old colonic, er…uh, ahem,…sonic , ah, er, thinga-ma-jig, and I'll be right as rain, or something like that.
Ace is such an absolute savage, she almost rivals Leela. But only almost…
A neat little bit of trivia: When the Doctor is warding off the hemovores with his psychic barrier, what he's chanting is the names of his past companions. You can hear (admittedly barely) him say Susan, Barbra, Vicki, Steven and a few others; people from his life he had absolute faith in.
7th Doctor: We never talked about it. What happened that day. It all my fault, I always on the run, always eager for the next adventure.
Ace: So many people died for us. I need someone to blame.
The thing I liked most about the Seventh Doctor and Ace is the strong Father-Daughter vibes the two have.
Maybe the best of the McCoy's? I loved this story.
Ace is so dumb.
Poor McCoy, he really did deserve better than what the showrunners gave him. He may not have been up to Pertwee-Baker standards, but he was the best Doctor post that era. Certainly no worse than Troughton.
Have no clue what story I witnessed here… aliens, vampires, Russians, British, time lords, Nordic curses, oriental relics, eldritch horrors, monsters from the future….
This stupid episode had everything EXCEPT Daleks in it, and it made zero sense at all…
It's nice to see the Full Episode. A few weeks ago someone posted this. But it was confusing to watch as parts were omitted.
Some of the worst acting ever.
A genuine cypher room and original equipment purring like brand new. Amazing
Heard that banks started WW2 to collect on debts from WW1
1940s get up makes Ace gorgeous. In her street punk gear, she's still pretty
The McCoy era gets a lot of hate (not as much as it used to, but the stigma against his era being the last before the show gets canceled is still strong) but his era saw a complete turn around in the way they approached the show, and it was a refreshing and bold way to write for the show at the time, not only that but there were significant improvements in special effects (ignoring the Candyman and the Cheetah People), and they were also getting some amazing directors at the time like Alan Wareing and Andrew Morgan, and an amazing trio of musicians in Keff McCulloch, Mark Ayres, and Dominic Glynn. Unfortunately the BBC didn't have confidence in the show and were actively sabatoging it at this point, but that doesnt lessen what Andrew Cartmel, Sylvester McCoy, Sophie Aldred, Ben Aaronovitch or even John Nathan-Turner had achieved inspite of the obstacles presented at them.
Yes, more McCoy please!!
Dragonfire would absolutely make my day!
The TARDIS takes The Doctor to where trouble is so that he can fix the problem.
Oooh one of my favorites! 😉
I have been holding my breath for this one! The vibe is creepy long before any vampire shows up. Adore Sylvester McCoy. Spot him in the Frank Langella Dracula! This is not his first time facing vamps🦇
This episode was one of the most notable moments of the 7th Doctors' dark side. As well as one of the biggest moments where his friendship with Ace was truly put to the test.
imagine, if you will, if eric idle was the doctor.
they call time lord victorious saga episode
My all-time favorite DW episode! ❤
Just a minute- there's Nicholas Parsons.
1 of 7 best
One of the best ever, not just from that era.
Ghost Light preceded this
