If one would apprise what value backs Bitcorn or any crypto could then make a better assessment. As the US is now undeclared bankrupt, I can tell you what backs the US $. If you are a US Fed Taxpayer then you are backing the US $. The Gov't will insert excessive income taxes, and reach into all US Retirement plans (IRAs, 401Ks, etc) They will extract about 25%, and more later as necessary. They now have the regulations to follow, as Cyprus and other countries have done. Go into your bank accounts and extract cash above a certain amount, say $100K. In addition, this: What does the US Constitution say about money? So, in the US money is backed by an undeclared Bankrupt US Gov't. But for crypto otherwise? Bitcoin, Bitcoin, Bitcoin What Trinsic, intrinsic, tangible, or intangible value does Bitcoin or any crypto currency have? I say de minimus to none. The US Constitution states in Article I Section 8 "Congress shall have the power to coin-mint money and determine the value thereof". The US Gov't will soon implement the US Digital dollar and render all other cryptocurrencies moot and demised (in the crypt). The US Gov't will never abdicate this power.
