Spurs have a Fantastic 4
Instead of trading for Giannis. Let's focus on F/C Bam Adebayo 6'9 255 Miami, F Herb Jones 6'7 205 or Trey Murphy III 6'8 205 both from New Orleans.

We complaining more about a win than the mavs do for a loss
1) Without Wemby or Kornet playing a lot of minutes and being engaged on offense and defense this version of the Spurs is going to have a hard time playing .50 ball for the rest of the season, much less make it past round 1 in the playoffs.
2) In the 3rd quarter of this game Kornet played 4min 51sec, took no shots, and had 1 rebound, What's up with that?
3) Spurs did a lot better starting Fox – PG, Vassell – SG, JC – SF without Wemby or Castle than with lineups that had Wemby and Castle – SG, Vassell – SF. and JC coming off the bench.
4) In the 1st qtr Castle turned the ball over 3 times, 2 led directly to fast break scores and the 3rd he threw it away in a situation where it looked like Spurs were ready to score. When Mitch took him out the game was about even and after Castle left the Spurs got their groove back and dominated for the rest of that half.
5) In the 3rd qtr it looked like Castle tried to take over and control the offense even though Fox is the PG and clearly the number 2 guy after Wemby(and far superior to Castle), and that totally disrupted the flow of the offense that the Spurs had established in the 1st half.
5) Castle isn't ready to be a starting anything on a team that wants to go far in the playoffs. He had 3tovs and 4pfs in this game. He is totally screwing things up.
6) If the Spurs trade Fox(which I doubt) and keep Castle I may look around and find a new favorite team. It will be a sign that the old PATFO era is gone. I dropped the Celtices as my favorite team after decades of being a super fan when Reggie Lewis died in 1993 after Len Bias died in 1986 and the Celtics stopped being the Celtics. My analysis could be wrong so I will wait till the end of the season after Wemby comes back. Maybe PATFO+Mitch+Wright is seeing something that I'm not seeing but if they crap out again, particularly if they trade Fox, the original PATFO+Tim+Tony+Manu is officially dead and I'm out of here.
Spurs player rankings after Wemby right now is a good question. For now it's definitely D. Fox, I think eventually it's going to be Harper. Castle is right there too. Vassel, JChamp, HBO on any given night can be the best player too. Seems like a great problem to have.

So I want to say that I do appreciate Devin Brown as a former player and he is able to provide some perspective due to his past experience with the Spurs which is cool. It there are times like tonight where he just states some pretty wild things without any evidence. Suggesting that Fox, Harper, and Castle are quietly jealous of each others success? Our lack of productivity in 3rd quarters is because of selfish shot takers? No evidence and wild claims.
It’s pretty obvious with a little analysis that the Spurs quit initiating any actions, they stand around and ball watch. There are number of reasons for this but it has nothing to do with selfish play.
Devin is a cool guy and he brings something to the table but game analysis is not it 😅 that being said I do appreciate this show

Harper will be something special! In my opinion, the more Harper plays, the more I feel Fox is becoming irrelevant. Don't get me wrong, I really like Fox but I wish we could have Trey Murphy or Herb Jones in exchange for Fox.
Good offensive game, atrocious defense that Vic alone cannot fix. The team needs tranquilizers at half time, one pill each and the coach must make sure that the players swallow their pill. Coach should be replaced by God in the 3rd and come back for the 4th after meditation. Great defender-offensive rebounder Moussa Diabate from the Hornets urgently needed.

Here's a huge problem. Castle and Fox can not really co-exist very well, since Castle can't shoot but he's the PG, we have to moved FOX to SG and making him losing the rhythm and also the team's shooting% drop seriously which also affect Vassell as well. I have serious doubt if we can/should keep all 3 guards in salary and co-existence wise. And having Fox as SG, Vassell as SF, we're quite undersize and spacing isn't too well. I have a feeling we have to move Castle to bench sparking job to make sure the team is more balanced and better flow.

It seems like something is missing from our defense… I just cant quite put my finger on it…🤔. Wembanyama foo lol. But yeah we do still need to improve our D in the backcourt. Herb Jones, Murphy Jr, Dyson Daniels, someone like that could really elevate us.
