I recall flying over Turkey, was praying and I sensed God say this land has been entrenched in gross darkness. It’s interesting no one would talk bad about the govt until we landed in a “free” country. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
Turkey are absolutely guilty of the things they lambast Israel for. The Turks are actively engaged in the extermination of Armenians and Kurds, and illegally occupies northern Cyprus. Are they called out for this ever? No.
But the rest of the world seems to turn a blind eye to this. Why? Because they’re Muslim.
Israel is despised by its immediate neighbours simply because it’s Jewish. If Israel were a Muslim state doing exactly the same things as it’s doing now the immediate neighbours wouldn’t care, and I know this because they don’t care when the likes of Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia etc do exactly the same to smaller and less powerful groups inside and outwith their borders. Being resolutely behind Palestine is a convenient way to justify in the eyes of the world blatant anti semitism at a state level, and a battering ram to eliminate the only Jewish state.
And since Erdogan blatantly wants to reestablish the Ottoman Empire he sees Israel – born out of mandatory Palestine taken off of them and given to the Jewish diaspora in the Balfour declaration – as an obstacle to that ambition.
