Due to the fact that the same companies are traded on different stock exchanges which use different fiat currencies, I feel like those companies are, somewhat, protected, should anything happen to the USD.
I disagree, the global reserve currency probably won't change, what will probably happen, is that, like the rest of the world, you deal in multiple currencies.
It might seem like a big deal from a US person's POV, but most of the world is already functioning on two or more fiat (and even non-fiat) currencies.

The BRICS new System will not destroy the UD. It will bring the US back to its rightful place. The petrodollar gave the US an unfair advantage, allowing the US to build over 800 military bases worldwide and free money printing. While the rest of the world has to produce goods to earn dollars, the US just prints currency out of thin air to live beyond its means. Soin the excess dokkar will come back hime to chase goods, we can expect gold to skyrocket in price as the dollar looses value. This means the collapse of US economy and the US population and that of the western workd by extension.
The US imposes draconian conditions for access to loans. The BRICS will not interfere with internal politics to give loans. This means that third world countries will be able to improve their economies without high interests from the IMF and World Bank. This means that the entire nin Western workd will find tremendous benefits in joining the BRICS nations.
In my opinion the US is already in a depression. Young workers are struggling with the cost of living, many will not be able to afford a home or a family. The US ihas been investing in wars while China has been focused on productivity. China rightfully deserves its place as the world 's biggest economy and will uplift many nations , especially third world countries ehi are yearning for infrastructure développement and a fairer terms of loans. The US is the cause of its demise.
