THE MAN WHO CREATED THE SONG “SEN GELMEZ OLDUN”
Alakbar Taghiyev was a famous Azerbaijani composer, born in Ganja in 1924. He was also a prosecutor and worked in the prosecutor’s office for many years. He composed the music for the beautiful and emotional song “Sen Gelmez Oldun”, which became one of his most famous works.
Taghiyev wrote this song after the tragic death of a young woman named Sevda. He was deeply saddened by her death, and his grief inspired him to create this touching song about love, separation and longing.
