One evening, Josh Williams sat on the edge of his bed, gun in hand, and contemplated ending his life.
“I was in a pit of despair that I can’t describe to you,” Williams said in his interview on “The Signal Sitdown.” After hearing some terrible news from doctors regarding a traumatic workplace injury, Williams had told his then-wife to take the kids to the store. “I sat on the edge of my bed with my gun, and I was ready to kill myself. And I wrote out my suicide note.”William’s three-year-old son, however, was left behind. Before Williams succumbed to despair and ended his life, his son walked in the room and said “Daddy, I’m hungry.”
“I tucked my gun away, and I grabbed my kid, and I cried,” Williams said. “Man, I cried for hours.”
When his wife returned home, Williams confronted her about leaving their three-year-old behind. “She said something kept telling her to leave him behind,” Williams recalled. “She couldn’t explain it.”
“Now, later on, I know that was God working in his own mysterious ways, that he sent one of his foot soldiers in that day to save my life because he had a bigger assignment for me,” Williams told The Daily Signal.

47:00 yeah, and it's sad for some of the children of the parents that live that way, i know a woman that won't let her son get a raise. And limit his hours at work…. And told my wife.. why not let him get more per hour and work less hours? …. Nope. Crazy stuff 😢 wifes frind is crazy….
42:00 a big problem too is they get clean in jail or rehab. And go back to level 10 where they were and overdose and die… I have seen a lot of that.. and you can count into the equation fentonal that is from Mexico or China and the dosage isn't for sure… Bad time to be on drugs for sure…😢
Hood/ poor life is something else but i wouldn't trade the experience for anything….you haven't lived until you have lived that way.. makes you appreciate everything else so much more..

I remember going into DHS and telling them to end ALL my government-based benefits, including medical care and food stamps. The DHS lady asked why. I told her that I didn't need or want it, due to a divorce settlement. She had no code for that to put in the computer system! It didn't exist! People don't cancel. I DID!!! That was the best night's sleep I've ever had. The system is set up to control you and have all your data and information. God bless this guy for having integrity and outstanding morals to be a true American and NOT abuse the government assistance. There are plenty of people who truly need it. But it should be temporary, not a dependency.
