Armenia’s government will continue on its pro-European path, despite pressure from some political forces advocating closer ties with Russia, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan told DW. In the interview, he also discussed Russia’s reaction to these plans and spoke about the peace accord between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

As a Turk I hope everything works out for Armenia and that they can soon cooperate more with their Turkic neighbors. It is important that politicans in Armenia, Turkiye, and Azerbaijan make bold steps to normalize.
NEVER trust a dictatorship, that’s the only thing I’m going to say…as long as azerbaijan is a dictatorship, armenia will never be safe and no agreement will be respected.

Russia has been nothing but poison for Armenia in modern history. Going back all the way back to 1921 with the Treaty of Moscow and Treaty of Kars. Russia relinquished Armenian territory to Turkey. Imagine that. And instead of establishing Karabakh as part of Armenia, they make it into an Azerbaijani autonomous oblast in 1923. Russia is like that abusive partner that tell Armenia that without Russia, they are nothing. Armenia, despite it being a small country, has a lot of potential in becoming economically great. This is the first right step for a prosperous Armenia. Armenia needs to become the Switzerland of the Caucasus. Adopt complete neutrality with everybody and build itself in becoming a rich country

I think Armenia is diversifying its relations, not moving towards Europe! It is now part of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, signing defense cooperation with India for 2026, removing visa restrictions for gulf countries, having meetings with the Kazakh prime minister for trade routes. I think it is breaking free from the box Russia enclosed it in that's all.

Armenia Prime Minister is deeply unpopular and will probably face a successful coup attempt in the future, if the West and Turkey doesnt directly intervene. He is seen as having weaken Armenia to its lowest point by bowing down to their long term enemies, Azerbaijan and Turkey
