What does Armenian language education look like in classrooms and communities around the world?
That was the question at the heart of our latest HyeConnect event, “Հայերէն եւ հայերեն. Teaching Armenian in the Diaspora.”
We were honored to welcome four remarkable speakers: Anna Chokekchyan, Vartan Tashjian, Sosy Mishoyan, and Zepur Kheblikian, who shared diverse perspectives and experiences from Armenia, Australia, Lebanon, and the United States. Together, they offered an inspiring view of how Armenian is being taught, learned, and preserved across different diasporic contexts.
The discussion was rich with ideas, questions, and engagement. With over 60 participants joining from around the world and staying online for nearly two hours, it was clear that this conversation resonated deeply.

Ի՞նչ տեսք ունի հայերենի ուսուցումը՝ աշխարհի տարբեր համայնքներում և կրթական հաստատություններում։
Այս հարցադրումն էր մեր վերջին միջոցառման՝ «Հայերէն եւ հայերեն. Teaching Armenian in the Diaspora» միջոցառման հիմքում։
Մեզ համար մեծ պատիվ էր հյուրընկալել չորս փորձառու խոսնակների՝ Աննա Չոքեքչյանին, Վարդան Թաշճեանին, Սօսի Միշոեանին և Զեփիւռ Խպլիկեանին։ Նրանք կիսվեցին իրենց փորձով և անդրադառձան արևելահայերենի և արևմտահայերենի ուսուցման ժամանակակից մոտեցումներին, նոր սերնդի ներգրավմանը, արհեստական բանականության գործիքների կիրառմանը և լեզվի միջոցով հայկական ժառանգության հետ կապը խորացնելու եղանակներին։
Քննարկումն անցավ ոգևորությամբ ու խորությամբ․ ավելի քան 60 մասնակիցներ գրեթե երկու ժամ շարունակ ակտիվորեն մասնակցել են քննարկմանը։
