My one favorite part is when Alexandross had Darius buried in the tomb of Kings.
Amazing content man, as a Persian myself I loved it. Thanks.
HOWEVER!
I do admire Alexander profoundly, but man, the Fall of the Achaemenid really hurts
I really do admire Alexander, but man, the fall of the Achaemenids really hurts
Heroditus is much more accurate than You give Him credit for .. He gets maligned by so called scholars because of his writing style.. but he is more times accurate then wrong he just tells different sides of the same story..
Just found this channel. Great video and part one also. Would you cover the history of Parthia too? I suppose Seleucids and Greek Bactrian kingdom before that?
❤❤❤
What an epic video. Only Cy can create such an entertaining and captivating lesson on such a long and storied empire.
This is the most romanticized loss in history.

Would be interesting to have a video discussing the Zoroastrian origin and influence on this empire.
Love the channel. This kind of history is my passion.
All history belongs to the victor, which really leads me to question. One or two ingredients can never give one the full flavor, as such I question all this, ALL OF IT!!
Thank you for part two! The benefit of being here late is being able to watch them back to back lol. I'm looking forward to learning about the Macedonian successor states after the death of Alexander.
God be with you out there everybody. ✝️ 🙂
Thank you
The background music reminds me of John Fahey.

euboea, classic island for people mispronouncing it due to poor romanisation… i know you pronounce it right in other videos, so no shade, just sort of funny! good video!
Türkçeye çeviri olsaydı çok memnun kalırdım.🙏⚘️
Hey man I heard that Plutarh was smelling like sh*t

Story is Cyrus,s Army off and on had problems in main Greeks when they returned back the Greeks they were narrow road to the Main land greek one side was Mountain and other side was the sea . when they tried to Pass them Greek they rolling huge stones from the top of mountain to the Army . they returned back and they went to the Cypress Inland they built twenty thousands sheep to sail to the main land . These sheep got destroyed by sea storm after that this country stay away from the Seas until 1970 !
Cyrus was educated by Stylirlk his Turk grand father up to 7 years to 25 years old according stories I have learned them , weather right or wrong they are stories ! in age of 25 he decided to go visit his fathers family that they were governor of Elam when Syrus returned back he killed his grand father and he took over Mada ( owners of 4 years old sheep ) empire ! He was grove up in Hamdon and all Turks consider him as a Turk . When he got to the Babylon doors of city were open on his face because that was grand son of their Ally ! he knifed them on the back and took over Babylon …..
No one knew him until 95 years ago in Iran , Jewish stories and greek none senses brought him back to home . Turks when they learned about true nature of their empire they stay away from the Army…………… Gay man came in and Took over the large Media small Media which it were land of the Turks remained independent ….
This was excellent coverage
That was a strong bloodline
Fantastic 2 part series mate, well done!! Thoroughly interesting, thoroughly engaging, extremely well researched and put together and very entertaining.
Where did you get the background music for this video? Is it like Traditional Persian music or something? I thought it was an endless loop until I heard the background vocals when Egypt came up and the vocals at the end…
Your videos are so resourceful and interesting! I've been binging them lately and it's been a lot of fun, can't wait to learn more 🙂
