As a result of the aggression unleashed by the Azerbaijani armed forces, residential houses in Verishen community of Syunik region became almost unfit for living.
The Armenian Report spoke with Gurgen Harutyunyan, a resident of Verishen community, whose house was completely destroyed.
“Azerbaijani artillery hit directly on the basement part of our house, the fragments of which spread throughout the house. At that moment, we were all in the yard, fortunately there was no one inside the house. As a result of the impact, two of the three bedrooms in the house have become unfit for use, and the house has been weakened from its foundation,” Harutyunyan explains to The Armenian Report the situation.
Harutyunyan family is currently living with a relative.
“We are forced to stay with our relatives until the authorities take some steps to restore the house for us and the rest of the affected citizens,” he continued.
Harutyunyan said despite the brokered ceasefire, residents are anticipating for more Azerbaijani aggression.
“The state of fear and anticipation has not yet passed. We are all concerned that the enemy has not calmed down yet and may resort to provocations again,” said the Verishen resident.
In the Verishen community of Syunik, three houses have been destroyed by Azerbaijani attacks. All three families are left without a home.
