“Xi Jinping could very well decide that his only way out is actually to cause trouble someplace,” says Gordon G. Chang, Senior Fellow at the Gatestone Institute. Xi is out of the picture now replaced by a Politburo of nine, not seven … the only war on the horizon is internal to China, esp. between CCP and PLA, not USA … many changes are taking place but a key Xi aphorism, his legacy, progress thru stability, remains. As a side bar, China sees Russia as decrepit and fair game for exploitation: the USA could utilize this to sweeten deliberations on Taiwan independence and Panama Canal control, transit in general.
