Wiki: The Chimera was, according to Greek mythology, a monstrous fire-breathing hybrid creature of Lycia in Asia Minor, composed of the parts of more than one animal. It is usually depicted as a lion, with the head of a goat arising from its back, and a tail that might end with a snake’s head, and was one of the offspring of Typhon and Echidna and a sibling of such monsters as Cerberus and the Lernaean Hydra. 🙂

It either has a serpent tail with a "Darkon" head (Drakon; greek for serpent) or a 3rd head up front next to its Lion/Goat heads.
So chimera is female ?
I don't know, but since there's archetypes present in every Greek mythos, some felt like a representation of what's happening at their time like the Amazons as being female mounted archers/warriors and on this chimera, it's like a terror of war or skirmishing. It could trap you, prey upon settlements and loot them, really hurt those that attacks it and burns wherever they loot–but the introduction of using horses (could be with chariots at first) feels like being fast for the first time in human history, and it greatly enhances your survivability rate that you could really find transcendence in glory of battles
I always understood it to be a lion, goat and the tail a serpent. Never heard of the dragon head?
