I was in Paraguay 🇵🇾 in March 2017.
I spent two weeks in the country and traveled to Conception and spent a few hours in Horquetta, a city that is near Conception.
The northern part of Paraguay 🇵🇾 is where communist guerrillas are fighting the Paraguyan army and they have been doing so for many, many years.
The Paraguyan media has on occasion reported on what's transpiring although for whatever reason the news of what's going on isn't being reported outside of Paraguay.

Great documentary. Now, I have insights into what the current Brazilian government is dealing with.
Eventually he decided he wanted to be King of Bolivia, living in a big palace with pots of cash and lots of servants.
Documentary down played the Che executions of the Batista government, and glorified the Cuban education and healthcare systems. Also didn't mention how Cuba was known for its vibrant nightlife, luxurious hotels, and casinos catering to American tourists, before communism.
Basically the US has its standard template for expoitation & dominace over countries who don't agree to play ball with the empire & even the ones that do !. We can see this everywhere even to this day !

Personally, I will NEVER accept the reactionary right-wing narrative about Ernesto Che Guevara being only as some kind of "killer" of those being regarded as innocent in Cuba during his time in the Caribbean country for several years since the 1959 revolution led by Fidel Castro and others as well. I for among those who could only think positively of what Che Guevara had done for Cuba in terms of bringing some positive change even though he had made some mistakes along the way, too. In other words, Che may not have been perfect at all, but he was what he was: A dedicated and ardent revolutionary who believed in bringing about true changes for Latin America and elsewhere for the good against the forces of imperialism and predatory capitalism in the end.
Che was s great man. May he rest in peace.

Nevertheless, he abandoned multiple positions of power where he could've made real changes that he desired and chose to be in the infantry rather than be a general. I believe his thought process at some point failed him.

Just take a look today at the extent of American imperialism and unless you are one of the millions of duped Americans (or is imperialism bred in the bones of the American people?) you have to see that he was a highly principaled and moral man, ahead of his time perhaps but certainly with a clear world view.
