I'm disheartened that a film like this has gotten so little attention, especially considering the kinds of things that do get attention, nowadays. So much of life is mocked and cheapened and manipulated in service of many banal causes and questionable ends but this film does none of that, instead it found a compelling story and concept, married it to mind-boggling realism and depth and created an experience that delves into the fundamental nature of existence, self, time and space and I am grateful to be able to return to it often.

A master piece to watch, and learn from this
Ok it's got a lot going for it but let's make one thing clear that is not a deer it's a very very large moose and something that you want to shoot, because unlike a deer which may or not run away a moose will charge you and if you shot something that big with any type of hand held weapon you would be toast period.
He shot the Great Moose for food . A need . And was punished . By the Great Moose . But from what I see the moose shot . Was out of ego .
