This video is an inside look at Bill Ackman’s investment in Netflix stock. Bill Ackman’s Pershing Square fund is one of the most closely watch portfolios in all of finance. He recently purchased shares in the company Netflix as the company’s stock price has declined dramatically as a result of lower than expected subscriber growth as well as rising interest rates affecting technology (tech) stocks. This is an interest investment by Bill Ackman as it appears to be a change from Bill Ackman’s investment strategy and not investing in tech stocks.
This video covers the following topics: Bill Ackman’s investment in Netflix, Netflix stock analysis, NFLX stock analysis, tech stocks to buy, Bill Ackman’s portfolio, Pershing Square Portfolio, Bill Ackman’s investment strategy, and Bill Ackman’s most recent investment.

As always, let me know your thoughts on the comments! Looking forward to hearing what you have to say 🙂
I wouldn't trust what ackman says, not after what he did during the outbreak by spreading fear but quietly keeping his shorts hidden.
LOL he bought when Netflix stock was at $350+. Looks like this bet didn’t pay off (now at $175)…
Netflix is overvalued
I wonder what we are to think now?
Did ackman sell his Netflix stock? Any update after the latest Netflix crash?
Is he gonna buy more now after the more recent drop?
Lmao two months later the stock has dipped to 255
One thing's for sure. They are both going to need more than one pail of water
People will need money for food in this increasingly inflationary environment. Netflix is purely entertainment and consumer discretionary. I’m out of anything entertainment. IDGAF what Ackman thinks. Hard times coming. We’ll see I guess.
@Investor Center
Now with Netflix, maybe its the novice me , but how is Netflix going to complete with likes of Disney , warner , prime etc.. who actually dont need their streaming model to be profitable.
Prime could care less if they make money on streaming , since they already make money by folks shopping. I am really confused how well Netflix will do in long run against these gaints. Plus netflix is struggling so much in Asia .
I feel i. maybe wrong here since so many folks think otherwise. but happy to sit this one out .
And I know Bill Ackman is highly regarded by some folks . But some of his investing ideas dont seem that worthy to me .
Notably , shorting anything is a terrible ideas since regardless of your conviction , you max profit is a "double" and max loss infinite.
Great production quality and narration. I could also listen in the car. Subscribed
Netflix isn’t a tech company they are an entertainment company.
When you say netflix made positiv free cash flow you should look where the money comes from .. and its debt btw
Next pivot is gaming
Who do you know that does not already have Netflix? Where are all these new subscribers coming from? The only growth I see is a possible consolidation of streaming services, however, that seems unlikely for now.
Frankly speaking….I would not have invested in Netflix. Thank you 🙏
Keep in mind that he's just lying, and his purpose is to sell shorts.
seriously, an investment in Netflix is worth a 15 minute video? where was Ackman when you could still get rich investing in NFLX?
It is inaccurate to say that people pay $80-100 for cable TV in most parts of the country. Normally, for that amount, you can get cable TV, internet service, and a home phone.
The FAST model of TV (Free Ad Supported Streaming TV) with its free content supported with Ads may overtake Netflix and other streamers in the coming years. Its just picking up steam but looking at the bloated budgets Netflix is forking out for relatively average content I don't think this model is sustainable and can last too far into the future. This company is losing money hand over fist.
Investing in movies is a pursuit of dreamers. I hope I'm wrong!
He is a bouffon, joke around and do the opposite of what he says.
Netflix does seem like they are undervalued currently. I would be careful though copying what Bill Ackman is doing. He is not the most straightforward person ever.
Get on TV, lie, jewfuck the public.
Loose the LA accent pls
Great review – thanks. Good insights. Much appreciated
Fantastic video, thanks!
Forever supporting your videos. Love the work and analysis you put into each video.
Do you know if he bought common stock, preferred stock or something else?
simply put, he is trying to drive the price up after 3.1m shares were already accumulated. sure, he is sharing his thesis with the world, but it is just another way to pump the stock. remember what he did during the market meltdown of 2020 on cnbc? he knows what he is doing.
Thanks god I found this chanel with amazingly good info. Thanks for the hard work of the creators! Let us all get rich together fellow investors
I already put 10k in Netflix shares
My concern with the Subscription model is the potential saturation that usually happens in most business sectors, impacting pricing.. the amount of content that is required also creates a real challenge for these companies as seen even with Disney.. maybe in the near term we have a lot of runway still but i would bet Bill has a nice hedge on this
Calling Netflix a 'tech company' is like calling Delta Airlines a food service provider. They offer pay for service video entertainment and produce programs in the hopes of them becoming popular with viewers to drive more subscriptions. To think and believe that any company, let alone NFLX, can keep convincing people to pay for subscriptions seems a little too much faith based thinking, imho, particularly when everyone and their sister are coming out with similar services regularly. glta!
You are hugely wrong! Their US subs is shrinking while they are adding new subs internationally! That's important! Because %51 of their revenue is coming from just US alone and around %49 all other countries combined. For EXAMPLE they are betting on India to show sub growth. But they can't charge them the same amount they charge US subs! There's a huge gap in price! They are playing numbers game for now but it will show up on Q1 report. It's very obvious to me if you know international markets. Plus Ackman is not Buffett! Not even close.
Don’t forget what Ackman did with Perdue pharma. Don’t think he won’t run this company up high and then short it on a fall.

Thanks for the explanation video 🙂 How can we forecast a DCF model if historical FCF has been mostly negative?
