The Armenian Report presents the second part of the question and answer series on the Armenia-Turkey relations, from the voices of Armenian citizens on the streets of Yerevan. In our first series, we asked citizens of Armenia their opinion on the normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations. If they believe it is necessary at this stage? Many of the citizens we interviewed stressed that they consider Turkey an enemy with which it is impossible to be friendly. “Peace is achieved with the mind, negotiations, and military power,” one person told us. Another citizen…

The strength and smile of hope on the faces of children from Aghavno. In Armenia, the non-governmental organization “Art of Staying Alive” (VOMA) conducts military training courses. Currently VOMA has 300 citizens training. The Armenian Report attended one of the courses and noted that a large number of the participants are women. At VOMA, regardless of profession, gender, age, people are trained to become combat-ready. The participants told The Armenian Report that they are training because they believe that there will always be provocations on the border by Azerbaijan — and a full-scale war is also possible. Therefore, they should be ready to defend themselves. We also met citizens who were taking part…
