In Armenia, the non-governmental organization “Art of Staying Alive” (VOMA) conducts military training courses. Currently VOMA has 300 citizens training.
The Armenian Report attended one of the courses and noted that a large number of the participants are women.
At VOMA, regardless of profession, gender, age, people are trained to become combat-ready.
The participants told The Armenian Report that they are training because they believe that there will always be provocations on the border by Azerbaijan — and a full-scale war is also possible. Therefore, they should be ready to defend themselves.
We also met citizens who were taking part in the courses with their family members.
Several women were there participating with their husbands. The women mentioned that they consider themselves quite prepared, they can also carry out border service.
A large number of citizens from VOMA have participated in the 44-day war, and now they are also on duty from the center in Jermuk, in the direction of which a number of positions were penetrated by Azerbaijan on September 13-14.
