Unfortunately,, Russia had lost a generation of Western Ukrainians, who got educated in the revised history, and are unlikely to change course because the West rewards only those who are anti-Russia.

Good conversation, thank you. However, I would have liked to see more probing of Professor Tsygankov’s views and interpretations on this “Eurasian” thesis or vision, above and beyond what has been verbalized by Kremlin. The other issue that could have been pushed back to some extent at least, would have been the Ukraine war: 1) was this the only way Russia could have resolved its security issue, 2) what did the Russian leadership do to divert this threat from 2004 up to 2021, 3) if the hawks, neo-cons and the liberal establishment in the US still possess cold-war mentality, as Professor Tsygankov asserts, could we then assume that present day Russia still operates in Imperial Russia’s mode, i.e. dinosaur mode of thinking and movement.

Why did Russia want or need Western investment? Russia should have followed Norway's example and use her resources to build the economy.
Yes, Western political and corporate establishments were happy to take advantage of Russia's weakness. However, Russian corruption enabled Western interests.
