After destroying Tyre and Gaza, Alexander turned toward Egypt, a key region for securing supplies, wealth, and naval security. The Persian satrap surrendered without a fight, and the Macedonian was welcomed as a liberator. In Memphis, he honored the Egyptian gods, was crowned pharaoh, and consolidated political and religious power. He founded Alexandria as a center of the Hellenistic world and, at Siwa, was proclaimed “Son of Amun.” With Egypt pacified, he left the Nile behind and moved toward the final confrontation with Darius.

Hail to the Divine Alexander the Great! Hail Zeus-Ammon!
Make him Pharaoh was the greatest honer, because nowone foreign ruler take this title with the will of Egyptian people, but from this moment and after the visiting the temple of Amon-Zeus, Alexander started to believe he was a god, something who wouldn't have nice results.
In a dream Alexander see Homer to show him the place where he can bilted a city. In Nile's delta bilted the Alexandria, acriq the island of Pharos. Years later Ptolemy B' Philathelfos (friend of Brother) has created the first pharos in hystory, give to it the name of that island.
The Jenuary of 331 B.C Alexander come to Egypt and became Pharaoh and February of the same year he visited the temple of Amon-Zeus.
