Info: Serj Tankian is an Armenian-American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, poet, painter, entrepreneur… let’s just say he’s done a lot of things throughout his life. But if there are a couple of things that he cares about more than anything else, it’s gotta be art and politics. He’s always been the type of person who wants to expose the truth and create a better world. And his most powerful medium for doing that has always been music. Most people know him from being the vocalist of SOAD, but he’s also been a part of a ton of other art projects through the years. Let’s take a closer look.

My biggest regret is not seeing the band while they were together.
I think we need to tread carefully with the term "Middel Eastern". There are very many different traditions in that geographical area and it is to he noted that, obviously, SoaD influence is primarily Armenian which is VERY clear (as can also be heard through the track arto, which was straight up made with an Armenian folk musician). Other than that, excellent video.

He for example believes in Socialism and is a Bernie Sanders supporter even though history and facts show Socialsim has failed in every state it has been tried and Calitalism has lifted billions out of poverty

Incredibly talented and creative. I guess I legitimately wonder why people live in a country that they hate. I never understood that concept. That's like him being in a band that he despises yet continuing to play with them all the while badmouthing the band that he's staying in publicly.

Steal this Album is one of the best albums I've ever heard. It has such a phenomenal blend of heavy and melodic. It's a true masterpiece.

I'm waiting already 20+ years when they add a second guitarist for lives. Their records have 2 guitars and rich sound but on stage only one guitar. Their stage sound sucks! As a musician I can't take it.
