King George VI & The Queen Mother
American here! Very much enjoying this documentary on George VI and Queen Mary. I often wonder what the world would be like if they had rescued the Romanov family?
I do not believe king George the sixth was a soft man. He was an international icon of 😊resistance and resilience to the entire world against the tyranny of the Nazi regime.
Excellent show!
Wallis and Edward deserved each other: self centered, ignorant of history and current events, and greedy.
Albert and his daughter Elizabeth would both have been happier as country gentry, raising horses and dogs and looking after their tenants.
She was never reigning monarch but a consort.
You didnt that Margaret's remains are also interred with her parents
The House of Windsor is of both 🏴 English & 🇩🇪 Germanic royal heritage….
5:43 My mother also was made to use her right hand, although she was left-handed. This confused her for the rest of her life. While driving, when I was following a map for her, if she would she ask me if she was supposed to turn right, I had to say correct as not to confuse her even more. I do that to this day.
He was a lovely soft man. Great love for his wife and children. Soft spoken, adored his homeland. He was a great man in an unforseen job. His face oozes softness and care.
The story of King George VI and the Queen Mother is one of the most remarkable examples of resilience in modern monarchy. At a time when Britain was shaken by abdication, war, and uncertainty, their quiet strength and sense of duty rebuilt public faith in the Crown. This documentary beautifully captures how love and responsibility intertwined to shape an era of dignity.
I am so grateful to you, for narrating this so clearly. Being hard of hearing it’s a blessing to understand every word. God bless you and a deep heartfelt thanks.

PLEASE TELL THE TRUE HISTORY Of this FAMILY!! Because THIS isn’t it!!
Wallis Simpson Saved The Monarchy from what I think would have been a disastrous King.
Princess Catherine Of Wales has also so far done a great job in supporting the Monarchy.
King Charles unfortunately has proven to be a disaster as King, he shows such careless indifference to what are supposed to be his subjects. His reign will hopefully be short, if not I fear The Monarchy will be lost.
Coming from a Canadian born 15 years after the war and one that love's history! He did a great job in view of the hand he was dealt with. He didn't want the the job but rose to the challenge once he add it 👑
Maybe it wasn’t good for him but it was a good thing for anyone in the world. He did a great job and had a wonderful daughter that we all should and do.
