Welcome to Yerevan, Armenia !
This is my very first time in this ancient yet modern city! 🇦🇲 From the moment I landed, I was blown away by the history, culture, hospitality, and stunning views of Mount Ararat. This vlog captures my first impressions of Yerevan, from exploring Republic Square and the dancing fountains, to walking the legendary Cascade Complex, and discovering why Armenia is one of the most underrated travel destinations in the world.
In this video, I’ll share what it feels like to arrive in Armenia’s capital for the first time, the surprises I didn’t expect, and why Yerevan is quickly becoming a must-visit city for travelers. If you’ve ever wondered what to do in Armenia, this vlog will give you an inside look at the food, culture, history, and nightlife that make Yerevan so unique.
Yerevan, Armenia’s capital, is marked by grand Soviet-era architecture. The Matenadaran library, housing thousands of ancient Greek and Armenian manuscripts, dominates its main avenue. Republic Square is the city’s core, with musical water fountains and colonnaded government buildings. The 1920s History Museum of Armenia on the square’s eastern side contains archaeological objects like a circa-3500-B.C. leather shoe.

Not gonna lie, my first night in Yerevan felt like a test 😂. The late arrival, the taxi chaos, and me just trying to figure things out. But once I got through that, this city started showing me its real side and I’m loving the vibe now. 🇦🇲✨

The Sumerians are known as one of the world’s first civilizations, living in southern Mesopotamia — present-day Iraq. To the north of them, in the Armenian Highlands, lived the ancestors of the Armenian people. So these two ancient cultures were neighbors in the same broader region of the ancient Near East.”
U weird asf for titling that.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Iraq is older than Iran. What is she on? The teens didn't even say Armenia was the oldest 🙂 and also interrupting the conversation not once but twice is just Rude Pro Max. Like chill lady
Armenian civilization is older than the Iranian civilization. The ancient Armenian civilization dates back to the 9th century BCE, with the Kingdom of Urartu emerging around this time, while the Iranian civilization, particularly the Achaemenid Empire, began to form in the 6th century BCE. This indicates that the historical roots of the Armenian civilization predominate over that of the Iranian civilization. Even you can do research in Google.
i love your video, when you took the stairs from cascade and got all the way the top that is where i lived, it's called Monument, Victory park. I hope you did visit the Victory park so beautiful 🙂 Thanks for sharing the video. As for the taxi driver, he was not upset with you us Armenians are very passionate with emotions, he was upset that there was no one to answer him in order to help you with translation 🙂 I miss my country I live in Los Angeles.
According to world history, it has not yet been confirmed that Armenia is the leader among the ancient states of the world, but rather the second or third…. but thanks to recent excavations, it has become clear that you are the leader, and the fact that in the Bible after the flood Noah stepped on Mount ARARAT, and from here humanity began, and that is enough. And also the ancient civilization of Urartu, that is, the Armenia, which is one of the most ancient 🇦🇲🙏
I’m so proud my fellow Armenian speak English
Cognac is served warm
Cherliyn Sarkisian. This is Chers name
Just for your information, my friend Iran is a Muslim country
Iran is not a Christian nation. Armenia is the first Christian nation.
Why is this woman not going back to Iran
This is why I don’t leave in there 😂
I’m sorry that you were disappointed. You have all the right to
As an Armenian I got ripped off during my visit. They smelled American and asked for higher prices
Armenian brandy was the favorite drink of British prime minister Churchill
Kim Kardashian's are 25% Armenian only the last name is Armenian
That Persian woman was a big reason to not continue watching, still I felt it as a test watching even though it’s about my own country. Youth was motivated to talk about their history and you come with you kebab paper to tell your own version history.
I think Armenia also is starting to have immigration problems which is not gonna look good
Bro Iranians are Muslim. Armenians are Christian and the oldest Christian nation in the world. Since 301 AD, Armenians have adopted Christianity. Georgians adopted Christianity in 451 AD. I don’t understand how difficult is that to understand.
Taxi driver wasn’t upset nor mad with you bro. All he is saying is that he didn’t speak English and he called his friends try to get a translator on the line. He was yelling and upset because no one was picking up his calls. It’s 5000 which is like $12 so he didn’t rip you off at all. That’s a standard rate.
So embarrassing! As an Armenian , I’m truly ashamed of this taxi driver and their whole fucking system.🤨🤨🤨
Armenia is indeed the first and oldest Christian nation.
😂😂😂😂
You went to most corrupt and con artist country im Armenian and I don’t go to that mother faking country. Fak Armenia and thieve Armenians 🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻
You should have shown us the bars and nightlife.
Next time install Yantex. Yandex is the equivalent of uber. Sadly not all the taxi drivers at the airport know English.
Taxi driver was angry at his college
Exactly she misunderstood Iran is not a Christian country Iran is an Islamic country
I think she didn’t hear well. The boys said first Christian country. Not the oldest country.
Iran is muslim country
I don’t agree with these protestors. Some Armenian Church leaders have close ties with Russian officials.
By aligning church voices with Kremlin narratives, Russia pressures Armenian politicians not to move too close to the West (EU, NATO, U.S.).
The Church has great moral authority in Armenia, especially in rural areas.
If priests and bishops echo Russian-friendly positions, it can sway ordinary people to support Russian policies — even when Armenia’s national interest might be elsewhere.
Russia’s long-term aim is to keep Armenia dependent. Russia tries to prevent Armenia from fully turning toward Europe or the U.S.
