Instead of paying attention to wages at the bottom that would have told them conditions, the political business worried about paying themselves for the last half century. One problem is now that the 'offshore tax havens' that the legislatures made legal, only 'they' (the corporate people) know where the money went. Just like 'citizens united,' they made it 'legal' with no accountability. And the kicker, it IS on the balance sheet of We The 'right to work' People. So it is noted somewhere, and 'forensic accounting' is a thing.
