My mum said that there used to be loads of Armenians in our Kurdish village when my grandad was little. During the genocide apparently the Turkish government gave Kurds money and convinced them to take part in the killings. One villager (our family still knows his family today) put orphaned children in a bag and threw them off a cliff.
I cried in my room after my mum told me these stories.
I could never put nationalism first
she did it for the Money obviously. She was working as a starbucks barrista at the time before getting her gig at tyt, and praised and thank cenk for giving her a job, and said she was never going back to starbucks cuz she hated working there. This was said during one of their youtube shows very very early on when tyt just started, i remember watching. Now since alot of time has past she's crafting all this story to justify and deflect why she and armenian signed up to an orginaztion called the tyt and who's owner she works with is a Armenian G-side Diener
It's like a Jwish Person working for a news organization named "The Brown Shirts" and who's owner of this organization is a Holocaust Denier. That is what Ana Kasparian is and armenian working for a org named the young turks and who's owner is an Armenian G-Side Denier. Her lame excuse that tyt stood for "rebels" …. guess what, so was the Brown Shirts, they were rebels of their time against the establishment in Germany.
