Haunted by guilt over his father’s death, Theseus takes the throne and uses his fame to unite Attica—creating an assembly in Athens and handing power to the people while keeping military command. Compassionate, he shelters Hercules after his tragedy and follows him to the land of the Amazons, where he takes Antiope as his consort and fathers Hippolytus. Years later, the Amazons invade Athens; Antiope fights at Theseus’ side and dies, turning victory bitter. At the height of his glory, Theseus forges a bond with Pirithous. At his friend’s wedding, drunken centaurs try to abduct the bride; Theseus leads the Centauromachy and drives them out, sealing a blood brotherhood.

Theseus really had the ultimate character arc. From slaying the Minotaur to literally inventing democracy while carrying the guilt of his father's death… that’s a top-tier resume right there. Most heroes just fight, but this man was a warrior and a statesman. Huge respect. 🏛🔥
