In today’s grammar mini-lesson, we will be learning how to say “With” in the Armenian language. In the English language, prepositions are easy to use and are usually short words. However, the Armenian language does not exactly have prepositions and has several grammar cases instead, which require us to change word endings for them to properly fit in a sentence.

As an American, thank you so much for your compliment about the guns we enjoy them more than ANYWHERE ELSE ON EARTH!!! Per capita. if you're in a crappy Inner city where people are shooting each other than you picked the wrong place to go in America, congratulations. No war zones here BUT democratic run states are some of the most violent high crime places ANYWHERE but I live in the state with the most lenient gun laws. Which is New Hampshire, and we have the lowest crime rate or at least in the top 3. And the other 2 are usually Maine or Vermont which we border so yeah.
are u armen sharoyans?
Great explanation! But do they really say ko-het “with you”? Because I learned to say kez-het, which is the genitive of du ‘thou, you’.
Fun fact: het “with” and het “back(wards)” used to be two different words that became pronounced the same way: het originally meant “a footprint, track of a foot” so the idea of accompaniment or /with/ someone comes from the idea of “footprints of (genitive/possessive) someone else”, and het (spelled yet in Grabar, literally meant “in the track, that is behind” < y+het 🙂
❤️ your vids!
Thank you so much for the explanation.
