Victor Davis Hanson: What We Were Told About January 6 Doesn’t Add Up
As the fifth anniversary of January 6 approaches, the Left’s carefully constructed narrative is starting to crack.
On today’s episode of “Victor Davis Hanson: In a Few Words,” Hanson explains how branding January 6 an “insurrection” drove impeachment efforts, investigations, and years of specifically framed media coverage. He also examines the arrest and confession of Brian Cole Jr., the alleged January 6 pipe bomber, and why the delayed investigation and lingering questions surrounding his background cast doubt on many of the conclusions Americans were first told to accept.
“To sum up everything we’ve been told about January 6th from the congressional committee to Kamala Harris’ description of it, to comparisons with the four-month, $2 billion, 35 dead, 1,500 police officers, prior riots, arson attacks on courthouses, police precincts that was never really mentioned as a comparable crisis in the republic, all of these things, a number of FBI informants, a number of FBI agents, any effort to find the pipe bomber, the treatment of the January—it was all never transparent. We never got the honest story. So, that begs the question, why? Why didn’t they just come out and say, “Here’s all the information”? And the reason is, they wanted to cement a narrative in everybody’s mind that a reckless demonstration that turned into a riot was a pre-planned insurrection by Donald Trump, who ordered it, and therefore, should forfeit his political career, and he should never be allowed to run for office.”

What.was the VP role?
Would be great if you were right. But fact of the matter is Trump invites Thousands to DC, lied to them, marched them to Capital, bailed to the WH. They rioted like idiots, (not insurrection) and media owned the narrative.
Wikickedpedia leaves out the 275 FBI agents and over 250 antifa members working to turn a peaceful protest into a destructive riot such as antifa, etc. had been doing for months. The "committee" was definitely crooked from the start. The murder of Babbitt and beating of many. Followed by illegal government actions for years including illegally jailing and harming people who may have done nothing or were guilty of trespassing.
Only the severely stupid were fooled. I highly doubt most of the TDS left even believes the Jan 6th narrative they just WANT to believe it.
Everyone knew there was going to be a large protest. Everyone knew a protest that large was going to riot. Democrats PURPOSELY instigated and refused ANY kind of enhanced security to stop it or control it.
Democrat lawmakers were already in hiding before it even happened. And these elitists left their staffers out to dry hoping they got attacked. And when NOT A SINGLE Democrat was touched they edited those Democrats out of all the videos and tried to tell you they were not there.

History has shown us over and over than when an overwhelming force, the J6 protesters, attack a smaller force, the Capitol Police, the safest place for the smaller force to be is behind the walls. Why was the CP out front to be attacked? This allowed the doors to be breached and the J6ers access. It would have been simple enough for the CP to be inside the Capitol with the doors locked and barred. Allow the J6ers to smash themselves on the doors and walls as they had no siege equipment to force entry. No one gets hurt or killed.
January 6th was democratic "people power" at work…and Trump knows how to channel it. Standing with his supporters on January 6th is probably a big part of the reason why he is president now. Right-wing apologists like Hanson will tell their side when the right-wingers become unruly, and the left will do the same. In my middle-of-the-road opinion, Jan. 6th was unprecedented, and actually MORE serious than Pearl Harbor in important ways…but, hey, what can you do? We still have to learn to live with each other.

One person was murdered- Ashli Babbit, an unarmed veteran white woman who was murdered by a black cop who was the only one of the police officers who drew their gun. Democrat politicians and supporters unironically said that, "Babbit should have complied."

Victor Hanson, "the respected historian," defends an insurrection by a criminal rogue President who murdered nine people, tried to kill his vice-President. 140 Policemen were injured, many seriously, and 1.5 million dollars in damage to the Capitol, all based on Trump’s utterly bogus claim that he won the election. Additionally, 1,200 perps were charged, more than 460 were jailed, and 718 pleaded guilty.
Trump ginned the crowd up and told them he would follow them to the capital. Then, like the chicken shit coward he is, Trump departed for the White House and watched the insurrection from the Oval Office as Evanka begged him to stop it.

I am convinced that the J6 kerfuffle was a preplanned operation designed to stop the certification process for the purpose of preventing the lawful, constitutional challenges to the electoral votes. The multitude of anomalies that occurred during the November 2020 election were, in my mind, statistically impossible. Admittedly I am not a statistician but if someone won the Power Ball lottery four times in a row, I'd feel justified in calling for an investigation. Trump won 18 of 19 counties that were known as bellwether counties as they historically voted for the winner of the election. Other things such as the improbability of every county or precinct in a state have the exact same ratio of D candidate votes to R candidate votes, a decrease in the number of Trump votes on the televised chyron, the criminal behavior of election officials in removing only Republican poll watchers from the counting area and the overall lack of concern among Democrat Party officials about Joe Biden's lack of campaigning and nonexistent supporters at the very few "rallies" his campaign held were all indicators that an honest, objective analysis of the election was warranted. That it did not happen has left me with the belief that honor, character, honesty and truth are no longer relevant to much of American society.
I was listening to Steve Bannon's War Room podcast in the days leading up to J6. From what he was implying, I fully expected violence l.
