In Ancient Egypt, many visual elements were used to reinforce the pharaoh’s image in the eyes of the people. Among them was the fake beard, often called a postiche, which became one of the most recognizable marks of Egyptian royalty.

It would be nice if all depictions of Egyptian weren't some middle Eastern and white interpretation. It would be nice to actual see Egyptians as they should be depicted! Ancient Greece themselves said that they were dark skinned individuals! And can we please stop trynna separate Egyptian from Africa, i feel like they deserve their land that was stolen from them🤷🏾♂️
