🇦🇲 My first day in Armenia! In this travel vlog, I explore Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia — a place that completely surprised me. From sunrise at the Cascade to Armenian coffee, street art, local markets, and friendly people, Yerevan instantly became one of my favorite cities in the Caucasus.
I spent a little more than 24 hours in Yerevan (but more days to explore surrounding areas) discovering what makes this city so unique — and it’s definitely not what I expected. If you’re planning a trip to Armenia, this vlog is the perfect first look at what life here is really like.

❤️great Armenia
As it was mentioned by other me too sharing that Armenia Georgia is Europe🇪🇺. South Caucasus is political term. EU law accept only Europe country and that's why they have rejected Morocco in 1987 and Canada also have been told that can't join because of geography. Article 49 of the Treaty on European Union (TEU) is the legal basis for the EU enlargement process, stating that any European state that respects and is committed to promoting the Union's values can apply for membership. Armenia have approved membership bill, is in process of applying, Georgia has candidate status. None Europe country can't receive even candidate status. Besides that we are member state of Council of Europe 🇪🇺 which is for Europe too
High yung lady but that tow montan you show us this is western Armenia thanks for your visiting to Armenia ❤
Kul! Bor här med min fru sedan snart två år tillbaks. Underbar stad och land.
Dear Mackenzie, If you happen to visit the fake state called Azerbaijan, don't be surprised to see very similar things and similar cultural acitvities since Azerbaijan is relatively new state which was created on historical Armenian lands by the Soviet Union in 1918 for some Iranian and Mongolian cultureless tribes, Hence, the Azeries insist to copy-paste all Armnenian cultural and traditional aspects and also they are trying to rewrite the Armenian history and eventually they claim the owernship of the region which is not true. Have a safe trip and thank you for the video.
Armenia is a very mysterious place with an ancient friendly people that date back nearly 6000 years. You definitely should go back and explore it more and perhaps do a full country video. Each province is unique and each city has its own cultural vibe. There is so much to experience but a lot of it is hidden. Great video!
This country is amazing. This country survived for 3 or 4 wars, I’m from brazil here we have 212 million of people and in Armenia they have only 3 million, it’s crazy. I love their culture. I enjoyed this video 🎉😊
Cool video Mackenzie. I'm a NY state Armenian, and it's cool to see more Americans visit Armenia.
You were at the absolute best Lahmajoun place in Armenia (the owners are originally from the birthplace of that food-Cilicia (the last Armenian kingdom)). My respects to the Grboyan family. Glad you enjoyed my motherland’s wonders, and thanks for sharing your story! ❤
Mer Taghe means "our town"
your eating Armenian Pizza called Lehmajoun!
Follow your heart
👋🇦🇲
Thank you for the video! I haven't been to Armenia for about 20 years now. Your video shook up some of my good and bad memories. I am glad you liked your unplanned trip to Armenia. Here's a couple of notes you might find entertaining. The names of the places you visited sound like random collection of letters difficult to pronounce, but they actually mean something. For example, "Mer Taghe" (մեր թաղը in Armenian) means "Our neighborhood", and "GUM" is an acronym from the soviet era for russian ГУМ (Государственный Универсальный Магазин) which translates to english as State Supermarket. While the actual supermarket GUM was the building right next to that market you visited, because there are several big markets like that in Yerevan, that one was identified as the one next to GUM. Hence the name kind of spilled over or got inherited.
Definitely meet that guy more, and ask him to join you to Georgia. Glad you liked the dried foods, that is number one thing to not miss in Armenia, hello from Sweden.
That's my lovely birdplace. One kindly advice, don't be tempted by attractive sweets and bread products while traveling, especially in the Caucasus (because there are too many delicious but unhealthy foods), otherwise you will regret it later while checking your health. Have fun. Greetings from California.
Welcome to our country! So glad that you enjoyed, there’s much more to see of course but it’s truly heartwarming to see that you are feeling the vibe and the love of our country! Always welcome back 🫂🫂
Welcome Armenia 🇦🇲 ❤😊
