Geghard Monastery is one of the most beautiful religious sites. Geghard means "Spear", i.e. the spear which pierces Jesus' side. Tatev should have been features on this list – this place is one of the most beautiful places in the whole world.

As a French man, I have already visited Armenia 2 times with family and friends. I love a lot this relatively poor country with "rich" hearted people.
I particulary loved 2 things there which also explains why this is a safe country :
1/They respect all their old stones and artworks placed in public parks. There are NO TAGS on them, although everything is unprotected and within the reach of public.
2/ the whole country is so safe : You can see women or young girls sitting and chatting in a park, in hot summer time after midnight, without stress or danger. Armenia is the SAFEST country I know in the whole world.
