This is dumb. Bitcoin does not require the government’s adoption nor does it require everyone to find it useful. If tomorrow you were to reduce the number of bitcoin users back to what it was in the Silk Road days, the price would dump a lot, but its deflationary monetary policy (with its hard-coded artificial scarcity) would inevitably cause the price to go to new highs.
Today we have the opposite of that scenario. Instead of the user base being reduced, it’s only getting bigger.
