I mean, as far as leaders are concerned, I doubt another as capable as him will show up for a long time. Of course maybe people like him do still exist, the world just isn't messed up enough that they've needed to make themselves known yet. He seemed to be at his best when the world was in peril, so thankfully we haven't needed another person like Churchill. Though when the next world calamity makes itself known, I'm certain he or she will be there.
God Bless him, he was the man for the darkest times.

Churchill was indeed the greatest British leader of the 20th century. I was in Germany at the time of his death and watched his funeral on German television. One day as my companion and I were walking through town we stopped to look in the window of a shop that displayed news magazines including a couple of English magazines. An older gentleman was standing there and made some derogatory remarks against Churchill. "I see that Churchill has died. Good! He is the one who ordered the bombing of German cities and killed our women and children." "Oh." I commented. "I thought Germany sort of earned it." "No!" He yelled. "That is not true!" We walked off leaving him yelling that it was not true. I shouldn't have provoked the old gentleman. I felt bad about doing it.

Japan did not immediately surrender after being nuclear bombed. They ultimately surrendered because of war being declared on them by the Soviet regime. By the way, WW2 was only won because of the Russians, who sacrificed far more than any of the western countries.
