For a long-term investor, especially when young, bonds seem like unnecessary drag. Am I missing something? Would you recommend alternatives like value dividend ETFs SCHD? Asking all these because I want to lump sum invest $250K.

How investors alone benefit from inflation 🥱🥱🥱 this guy needs some schooling or else he’s fooling people… inflation simply means Walmart alone is making more money, it also means those producing the avacado will charge them more … just like Walmart passing over the additional tariff to consumers , they don’t make more money just because they charge more for a product when an additional tariff is added

If demand exceeds supply, then that leads to inflation. If supply exceeds demand, things become cheaper and deflation threatens. In capitalism, you need low inflation and of course prices rise. If the economy were deflated, workers would lose their jobs and their income and would be able to buy even less. This leads to companies making less money and more and more people having to quit. I am not a fan of capitalism because anyone who has to work to survive is closer to poverty than wealth and that can never change simply because of capital accumulation.
Most of the money that exists is book money. When you go to a bank and take out a loan, the bank continually creates new money. The total amount of cash in the dollar is 11%, the rest is book money. The prime interest rate regulates the amount of money circulating in the economy. Printing money does not trigger inflation; please educate yourself if you're trying to impart knowledge. Furthermore, 80% of the cash in the dollar is not in the USA.
Can't the federal government raise more tax revenue ($) by lowering tax rates (%)? It would cost less to pay the government than to hide money oversees. But it's never painted as raisening more tax reveue rather in terms of fairness, "they need to pay their fair share". Yet the markets react to revenues vs deficits not fairness. Strange. Thanks for the video.

Call me naive but I still believe that the power of “Congress” to “coin money” and borrow ON the Credit of the US stipulates that no debt needs to be incurred. We suffer from bad bookkeeping

Is it really worth investing in Bond in 2025, I’ve been on the sidelines watching the market for awhile and it seems to be pretty stagnant to me not that it matters because I’m in it for the long run, but how can one generate actual profit in this current market?
If the government goes bankrupt from self inflicted causes. We Americans and businesses might be able to sue Trumps administration for not following professional Economists advice on what he’s doing will have consequences. Since he’s ignoring this data, we should be able to sue Trump for negligence..
Also, if We The People stop paying taxes, We The People could also lose Representation (The Vote). Either way, We pay.
