So just kinda curious sense I never played 5's campaign & multiplayer is it genuinely the worst out of all the Halo's? Cause i saw that it had some really cool things, like bringing Arbiter back, but making a fight with MC & Locke look like two old man with hemorrhoids fighting for the last box of Little Debbie's Oatmeal Cream Pies lol.
Though i also remember people saying Halo 4 was like the epitome of the "Fallout 76 Beta", but with no enemies, NPCS, just a giant fuckin landscape, and just added a new graphical update.
I actually liked infinite tbh.. honestly thought is was a fun ass game
They tried to be like Fortnite, being free to play & rely on micro transactions completely for their profits & funding & it just didn’t work. Just charge us for the game so that it can be a game worthy of buying.
OPEN WORLD WAS AMAZING. Why is not everyone on board with exploring lore and infinite battle situations. Man…
Hummmm. Is he a Seahawks fans?
The devs happened to Halo Infinite.
Was about to ragequit and leave a dislike when you tried to compare Halo Infinite with Halo 3.
One is an actual pile of dog shit including a grapple hook and a shitty wannabe shotgun (The bulldog) and the other is a legendary well-beloved game that concluded a 3-part game series in the most tragic, yet iconic and also story-wise best way possible.
Since the end of Halo 4, the entire franchise has been run into the ground and they kept digging their own grave until they even had to rename themselves and start digging a second grave next to their first one. That's all info about Halo and it's status, everyone needs to know about.
as a proud elite since halo 3 (even tho we get bullied by spartans) removing the ability to play as one killed it for me. On top of that disrespect they took out every cool game mode and were trying to charge me 10$ to change my characters color. Absolute disaster
My favourite one "so assassinations arent in at launch ok, but we are gonna bring them back later in a more meaningful way"………………..
Never bought them back
Basically they struggled to sort them before launch and made some bs up about why they arent in. Couldnt even reuse stuff from halo 5 apparently.
Creatorpink makes springs. I have all. Good reveal, Acting man.
343 is the absolute worst thing that has happened to Microsoft gaming
343 has destroyed halo, so what does microslop do? Give them more money and rebrand their studio…jack asses
Formal and his God Squad 😂😂
Its a shame cos its a great game
They never added coop for the campaign did they. I paused my game till they added coop. And then I just never played again.
Reach’s UI and customisation is greatly missed
I remember coming back to this game a long time after putting it down after initial release when the game had a ton of content, modes, maps etc and I remember thinking damn if this game just had more of this when it first came out i don't think it would've died. Shame.
For me the issue was the acceleration of the strafe in MP on m/kb made playing against controller AA feel awful. They eventually fixed it with AA for m/kb, but that doesn't feel great.
MCC on the other hand felt great on PC native inputs, and for my friends and I, coupled with how little meat there was in multiplayer at launch, we were some before things got started.
I also feel that missing modes like warzone & warzone assault with all the fiesta weapons made things feel really empty in infinite.
for me the campaign felt flat, no big set pieces like in other games, no change of enemy/ design like in other halo games, maybe if the flood or something dropped in mid campaign but instead flatness across the entire campaign, the endless who are they the story ended with literally nothing, i think they cop out by putting it in some book
Halo didn't die because of gamers it didnt die because of hate it didnt die because of covid it died because they released a lack luster product filled with microtranactions and marvel jokes i genuinely don't want 343 to succeed anymore.
Modern gaming is haunted by 'ghost franchises.' We’re playing series kept on life support long after their original visionaries retired. By the 2021 time frame, we should have already transitioned to a new generation of icons, just as the 90s and 2000s allowed legendary games to be new. Today its very expensive to make a game, so they'd rather draw out a 20-year-old game who's story was supposed to end by now then let a new game be made. Again, there was talent that made these games awesome, and they have already left the franchise. the name Bungie, or 343 is just a company name, there are different people working on it.
A funny:
H3 Forge and Sandbox; Ha, we don't need Bungie or Certain Affinity to make maps, we're better at it!
Forge World; Why is 343i so lazy?
I miss Halo man, they mangled my boy.
I really hated that all the armor was microtransaction only. felt like the game just wanted my money
343 is full a people who don’t understand halo and they never cared.
Halo infinite sucks just like every other 343 halo game
34:31 – Open the damn curtain for your other cat! Can you believe this guy?
18:54 – Open the damn curtain for your cat!
Infinite is when I finally decided I'm no longer a Halo fan😂
I feel like Microsoft didn’t realise how much was banking in infinite… they announced it as a “true return” to halo’s golden age and used the older designs… and then they just shat the bed all over the place and it wasn’t a solid experience until like 2 years later
I'm about 10 minutes in and boy… Lucid really is just going as easy and gentle on 343i as humanly possible. Almost to the point of flat out denying reality. I get wanting to be positive, but this man's really reaching when he says stuff like "The multiplayer cutscenes had so much potential!". My man.. They were completely incoherent and had zero context. And on top of that, they went NOWHERE in the end.
Edit: Ok, at about halfway through, he does turn things around and start acknowledging things as they are. Thank goodness. Was very close to writing him off.
The importance of capturing the FEEL and FUN cannot be overstated. Launching ghosts off of rocks, hills, and scorpions. Being able to start up the Xbox and play some split screen or Campaign without having to make a 'Live" account made it approachable and fun for EVERYONE who comes over to hang out. Not just people who already have a live account. If you had to reset the password you forgot with 2 capital letters, 2 lower case letters, 2 numbers, & 2 special characters then confirm your email, then go back and log in for Mario Kart for example… it would discourage play. Kind of like how its hurt Halo. People play it less and gain less fans, because you can't just jump in and play, so it doesnt get fired up at random hangouts in REAL life. I would have put many MANY more hours into the later games if they had couch co-op. It at least would have kept me interested, and more likely to play online more too. But instead, buddies come over and we play MCC or on the Switch, and Infinite and H5 become a more distant memory.
All 343i had to do was copy+paste H3 playstyle modes, slap a coat of paint, add H3s rank mode and Infinite would've been a instant hit.
Halo 5 multiplayer was the best all they had to do was improve on that with a better story I can't even lie I miss the Spartan abilities and assassinations
Greed happened
Any hope for the Halo franchise is just cope at this point. 343 is just too greedy a company to make something worth your money or time and will continue to disappoint each and every time so long as they're rewarded with nostalgia bucks. They will always cater to the e-sports scene and leave all the things that made Halo great to collect dust. If you really want things to change, stop rewarding them with playtime and money.
Yeah I mean what is happening to all the shooter games anymore? There seems to be some large force working behind the scenes to shut down all the competition. But who?…Tencent? Sony?
act man. . . it took me years to accept it, but have to say, halo is dead :c it will never recover, it will never be good again, is dead, like all good things in life it has an end, and to be honest im almost reaching 30y old, and i have to say, i prefer it stay dead.
Its better to let halo sleep and never come back to let it come back like a rotting corpse that only stinks the office.
Being the best 343 campaign is like having a slightly better form of cancer. It's still awful compared to the past
38:49 It's really sad when you remember that H3 and Reach had MLG versions of maps with different weapon spawns and even some minor changes to maps for skill jumps, map flow, etc.
One of the most annoying and frustrating things for me personally are also the constant changes for no reason. For example the game modes, the weapon changes (plasma pistol) etc. – They are obsessed to change things in Halo, just for the sake of changing it. They gotta go back to the roots. No new weird weapons are needed. Bring back the good old ones from Halo 1-4 + Reach. Keep the modes as they were. Same for vehicles. They butchered the vehicles in Infinite. It was zero fun to play them, compared to lets say Halo 3 Multiplayer on Sandtrap or Walhalla.
Mass Effect Andromeda did a better open world job than Halo Infinite.. which is quite crazy ngl
Yaah..but the DOW is up 50,000 sooo…
It’s ironic that the things they did right in 4 and 5 they just give up on in infinite. It’s like they see a game doesn’t work and assume nothing worked. I’m merely a fan and I won’t pretend to understand development but I feel like I’d still do a better job if I led their projects.
I just don’t get why they choose to make wrong decisions. They should have just delayed again by another year because if they had working custom games, slayer, split screen, forge. All day one, the game would have been more successful. But instead it launched how it did and we got barely any post launch content, also skins and armor sets don’t count as content. I mean proper sandbox stuff like 20 new weapons, 10 new vehicles, 20 new maps, campaign DLC. But alas they live off potential and never chase it.
The 343i Halo Campaigns aren't replayable.
