The U.S. has secured exclusive development rights to a strategic transit corridor as part of a landmark peace deal between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The agreement, to be signed at the White House alongside President Donald Trump, aims to resolve decades of conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh and establish a pathway to lasting peace in the South Caucasus. The corridor, which will run through Armenia, links Azerbaijan’s main territory to its Nakhchivan enclave. Officials say the deal could reshape energy and transport routes across a region bordered by Russia, Iran, and Turkey. The corridor will reportedly be named in honor of President Trump.
