one of the few people punished by the gods who actually deserved it
So I looked up why he did this. He did it just to test if the gods were truly all knowing. The insanity of men is amazing sometimes.
Guessing that the cook legged it after serving the stew.
This Story should be a lesson for the Ultra Wealthy and Privileged that even THEY can ONLY get away with So Much!
Zeus: “let him cook”
Tantalus: ’cooks his son’
Zeus: ”NOT LIKE THAT”
Peleos: Wait, where's my shoulder?
Demeter: 👀💧💧
She has 2 left feet lol
Meanwhile, Hera was doing cartwheels on Olympus for the punishment of another bastardized child of Zeus.
The sheer evilness of killing and serving your son as food aside, what level of idiocy made him think it was a good idea to commit such a horrendous act with the gods? 🤨
Well considering what Zeus’s father did, he probably took this dreadful decision personally.
🤮, guys insane!
Why doesn’t Tantalus get out of the pool? Is he chained there or something?
What the heck was Tantalus thinking of, serving his own son to the gods for dinner?
who is the one resurrecting pelops?
“Mommy? Is that why vampires are part of lore?” 😉 just saying eternal thirst and hunger?
What a horrible father
Tantalus must've lost his d**n mind at that point. I'm certain Pelop's mother was not happy with her husband's decision. At this day and age, she could have divorced and sued him for serving her child to his godly grandfather. I'm sure Zeus would have backed her up.
At least the grandson was able to come back to life.

I'm italian and modestly i prefer the italian channel, the voices sounds more emotional
Moral of the story: Some people just aren't worthy of their privileges regardless of lineage.
Apparently Tantalus was never told that human sacrifices were one of the things that were condemned by the Gods and for a good reason
So Perseus, a son of Zeus who had no flaws, never got to visit Olympus, but wrathful Heracles became a god and this guy visited Olympus regularly?
My man got hosed
Litterally the same punishement as sisyphus
Tantalus definitely got what he deserved, what kind of sick bastard serves their own son as the main course at a banquet?
Tantalus is the reason for the word "tantalizing"
