Wow no Azeri’s punching the air in the comment section.. that’s a first. Great video! Awesome info
My own grandfather’s entire family was murdered except for his only surviving brother at the time. Being only 2-3 years old and orphaned he lost his identity. As a result, I don’t have a real last name! Many Armenians have similar testimonies as mine! Exactly what happened to the Jews happened to the Armenians. The motive, building up to it, so called “deportations”, etc.,
I sent these videos to Azerbaijani’s who deny the Armenian history. Thank you 🙏 for this amazing 🤩 video.
Maybe it's just me but sticking to strictly chronological order would make the presentation much easier to follow. Bouncing back and forth between all these different Tigranes and Mithridates and Kings of Kings so frequently as you do is extremely confusing.
Really good content though.
Stoic Historian is the documentarian of documentarians and would have been a King of Kings in those days : )
Please excuse me, but could the audio be boosted a bit?
You had a slight mess up saying Rome was Pontus on the map, at least the modern greek part, but it’s well done
😄here again
What a treat, thank you !
Truly with Mithridates' expertise with infantry and the navy and Tigranes' expertise in archery and heavy cavalry, they would have been simply top much for the Roman's. This would have been a huge turning point in history, Rome would have been bested by military force for the first time 8n a very long time. The only others being Parthians.
Thanks for the hard work, this looks great.
Wonderful Video as always!
Their rebellious sons seem to be bigger enemies than the romans for both Tigranes and Mithridates. I feel like Tigranes' failure to assist his father in law against the romans in the 1st mithridatic war really might have been his greatest mistake. Sulla was about to be replaced after cinna took over the republic, and while its no italic wars level of turmoil it could have been the perfect storm.
Looking forward to this one, thank you!
